Rise of the Black Panther #4 Preview

There is so much to love in this preview.

First the cover... it seems to hint that T'challa and Shuri will be beating ass together. Which is a welcome sight. One of the best things about this book is that T'challa and Shuri actually feel like siblings... royal siblings.

T'challa's immediate response to the Doom Bot (by the way, I called the Doom bot as soon as Rise #3 ended lol) was a welcome sight. No hesitation, just doing what had to be done in response to a serious threat sitting on the throne.

I am always happy to see Priest-like Hunter. A problematic character for sure, but a fun one as well when he is written right.

Black Panther #8 Preview and Solicit

VOYAGE INTO THE DJALIA

- T’Challa’s research and technology takes him to a place that not even THE CREW can follow: THE DJALIA, Wakanda’s collective memory.

- Just getting there was hard, but finding SHURI across their nation’s past, present and future might turn out to be impossible.

- Even so, the strain on his Soul-Stalker abilities might tear him apart before he gets very far…

- That is the most adult conversation Storm and T'challa have had since AvX. So, props to Coates for that.

- Let's go get Shuri!

Black Panther #7 Solicit and Preview

THE CREW STARTS NOW!

With no one left to trust, T’Challa leans on his day ones: Luke Cage. Misty Knight. Storm.

But Wakanda may be too far gone for this all-new, all different CREW.

- One constant criticism of this book from me is that the action art is just stiff as hell. And unfortunately, it is even more apparent here. That panel with Misty fighting Vanisher is just... yikes.

- But, it is good to see what looks like four metas for T'challa and the Crew to fight. Evens the odds a bit. I would hope/imagine that T'challa takes on Stane while the others take care of the three Z-listers.

- Excited for this... always good to see Mr. Cage on panel!

Black Panther #6 Solicit and Preview

RISE OF THE DORA MILAJE!

• T’Challa’s failures as king are revealed to the UNITED NATIONS!

• Ayo and Aneka, the Midnight Angels, are courted by Tetu and The People to raise Wakanda to glory, but at what price?

• The storyline that has critics raving and retailers selling out continues!

- I am so tired with complaining about this book that I will keep it short and sweet.

- This woman hating retcon has just got to stop.

- That stick is legit.

- Master strategy T'challa sends his HZ in low flying planes in broad daylight instead of using any of their stealth abilities... got it. Let the nerf continue.

Captain Marvel #12 Preview (BP Appearance)

T'challa is getting sick of Carol's shit.

A king should be very worried about a super hero group that runs into countries willy nilly without giving a shit. Plus... a king shouldn't be hopping around in sovereign nations anyway.

Please, please please have T'challa switch sides. Punishment before crime is never a good look, especially not after what happened in All New All Different Wolverine last issue.

Next Three The Totally Awesome Hulk Issues Could Feature Black Panther

T'challa keeps popping up here and there in the Totally Awesome Hulk, including and awesome teaser last issue of the Panthertron.

Judging by the solicits and covers of the next three issues, it looks like things are going to pick up a bit.

The Totally Awesome Hulk #10

- CIVIL WAR II TIE-IN!

- TOTALLY AWESOME T’CHALLA!

- Still reeling from a blindsiding loss, Amadeus Cho might be in over his head when the one and only Black Panther comes calling…

The Totally Awesome Hulk #11

- CIVIL WAR II TIE-INS!

- With the BLACK PANTHER watching his every step, the HULK takes on a mysterious new arch-enemy. But who is AMADEUS really after?

The Totally Awesome Hulk #12

- CIVIL WAR II TIE-IN!

- WAKANDA HULKBUSTER IS THAT?

- Black Panther brings out the heavy artillery to take on Amadeus Cho, the Totally Awesome Hulk!

- When diplomacy fails two of the smartest guys on the planet, fists will just have to do!

The Ultimates #10 Preview

CIVIL WAR II TIE-IN!

- The one thing that could tear the Ultimates apart forever is inside that briefcase...

- ...and someone just opened it.

- Meanwhile, Thanos is ready to strike. And he has an ally...

- Color me intrigued!

- All the preview art for CWII had T'challa and MAC on Tony's side. But, so far, T'challa has been seen more on Carol's side... so maybe this is the beginning of the switch over for T'challa?

- And that last panel is super intriguing... T'challa just sitting there, arms crossed, doing nothing. Is he watching to see what happens? Does he have something else planned? Contingency plans for any of the super overpowered peeps on his team? Or is this just a cock tease lol?

Ewing is a fan of Priest Panther so... could be good.

Black Panther #5 Solicit and Preview

- “A SWORD FOR LIONS” STARTS NOW!

- Ta-Nehisi Coates is joined by guest artist and modern master Chris Sprouse for the second arc chronicling the final days of the kingdom of Wakanda!

- As Zenzi and The People poison the citizens of Wakanda against the Black Panther, a cabal of nation-breakers is assembled…

- With his allies dwindling, T’Challa must rely on his elite secret police, the Hatut Zeraze, and fellow Avenger Eden Fesi, a.k.a. Manifold!

- Meanwhile, Shuri’s spirit journeys through The Djalia…but what awaits her there?

- That first variant is LEGIT.

- Shout out to Contest of Champions! Too damn bad I don't have ANY of the BP's :(

- This preview continues to add to my hope that T'challa will finally become the central figure in this book like he should be. Still don't understand the over-reliance on that force push but it is what it is on that front.

- Curious to see how Eden factors into this.
